According to figures released by Qatar National Bank (QNB), the price of gold in the Qatari market rose 4.21 percent this week, hitting $3338.25000 per ounce on Thursday.
The price of gold per ounce increased from $3203.26590, the level reported last Sunday, according to QNB data.
Weekly price increases for other precious metals were also shown by the statistics; silver, for example, increased 4.06 percent to $33.62000 per ounce from $32.31000 at the start of the week. After trading at $994.64580 on Sunday, platinum rose 8.78 percent to $1082.06000 per ounce.
