Hamad International Airport hits record 5 million passengers in August

This August, Hamad International Airport (DOH) made history by handling more than five million passengers in a single month for the first time. This increase was accomplished without sacrificing the quality of each traveler's experience, according to a statement posted on the airport's website, which presents the airport as a thriving, quickly expanding, resilient, and unwaveringly passenger-centric hub.

Comparing August 2025 to August 2024, the performance of Hamad International Airport shows a 6.4% increase in passenger volume. Out of the 5 million passengers, 1.3 million traveled from one place to another, representing a 12% increase in this category year over year.

The award-winning airport in Qatar achieved this accomplishment soon after Airports Council International (ACI) World released its 2025 World Airport Traffic Dataset, which placed the airport firmly among the busiest international airports in the world.

A remarkable 98% overall satisfaction rating was confirmed by passenger survey replies in August. Furthermore, 92% of study respondents said the security procedures at important touchpoints were excellent overall.
