The first half of 2025 saw a steady performance from Qatar's Hamad International Airport (HIA), exhibiting operational agility and resilience.
Between January and June 2025, there was a 2.3% increase in passenger traffic, which was indicative of an increase in point-to-point travel to Doha. Overall, traffic stayed consistent, with just little variations from the same time in the leap year of 2024.
During this time, the HIA handled approximately 136,000 aircraft movements (-1.71% Y-o-Y), transported 1.2 million tons of cargo (-1.68% Y-o-Y), and serviced 25.9 million passengers (-0.45% Y-o-Y).
The increase in passenger flow to Doha confirms the city's increasing appeal as a travel and business destination, and these numbers are consistent with larger regional operating trends.
