Japan Airlines will commence its direct daily flights between Tokyo and Doha starting March 31

Japan Airlines announced at a press conference that it would begin offering direct daily flights from Tokyo to Doha on March 31. H E Satoshi Maeda is the Japanese ambassador to Qatar. This is the first direct flight by a Japanese carrier to the Middle East, with a daily nonstop service between Tokyo (Haneda) and Doha.

In addition to highlighting the project's strategic importance, Japan Airlines also emphasised the easy connection made possible by its alliance agreement with Qatar Airways. The following is the flight schedule for this new route: Doha to Haneda departure time: 7:15 am, arrival time: 23:55 (daily starting on March 31); Haneda to Doha departure time: 22:50 am, arrival time: 4:40+1 (daily starting on April 1). 

The route will be provided under codeshare with Qatar Airways and operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Additionally, codesharing service for Qatar Airways' current Doha-Tokyo route will remain accessible.

Bookings for the first-ever flights may now be made on Japan Airlines' official website, jal.co.jp. Japan Airlines has put up a list of suggested sightseeing locations in Doha, which includes Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art, Katara Cultural Village, and The Pearl-Qatar, in addition to providing simple transport alternatives.

Airbus A350-900 planes are used on the new route, which improves connectivity between Japan and Qatar. To further strengthen their relationship, Qatar Airways provides easy domestic connection to 34 codeshare destinations in Japan as part of their codeshare cooperation.
