Katara European Jazz Festival kicks off today with performances from Spain, Germany, and Austria

News EventThe eighth edition of the Katara European Jazz Festival will begin today, Thursday, at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), in collaboration with the embassies of 11 European countries in Qatar.
This three-day festival will provide music enthusiasts with the chance to enjoy live performances along the waterfront at Katara, set against a vibrant cultural backdrop. The festival reflects the Cultural Village Foundation's commitment to fostering cultural exchange and promoting Qatar's status as a global hub for arts and culture.
The event aims to strengthen cultural ties between Qatar and European nations, offering a unique musical experience that highlights contemporary and classical European jazz masterpieces.
The opening night will feature three performances: the Diego Villegas group from Spain, followed by the Jin Jim band from Germany, and concluding with the Fig Tree by Candlelight show from Austria. The Katara European Jazz Festival highlights Europe's diverse musical heritage, with each band presenting its own distinct style that blends tradition with modern innovation.
Since its inception in 2014, the Cultural Village Foundation has organized the Katara European Jazz Festival in partnership with the European embassies in Qatar, showcasing a wide array of European jazz compositions.
