Katara launched a variety of summer art workshops for children

A range of summer art classes for kids and teens were started by the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), while the Al Thuraya Planetarium hosted a number of educational performances. The workshops this year are a part of its continuous endeavors to improve the cultural landscape and foster children's artistic sensibilities.

During the course of July and August, the Foundation said in a statement, these classes will take place at its art studios in Building 19, and will cover topics such as cartoon character design, coloring, mask painting, and pottery making.

Numerous Qatari and local artists as well as specialized teachers will oversee the workshops.

In addition to the seminars, every Monday and Wednesday of the week, the Al Thuraya Planetarium in Katara offers a variety of 3D astronomy programs for kids. The shows make advantage of 3D display methods and a visually appealing aesthetic. The movies are: "The Astronaut" , "Space Oases" , "From Earth to the Universe" , "Traveling With Light" , "The Zula Patrol" , "Phantom of the Universe" , "Polaris" , "The Stars" , "8 Scoops of Milky Way" , together with "The Universe"
