The Qatar Calendar House (QCH) has announced that Qatar will witness the last supermoon of 2025 tomorrow evening, Thursday, December 4.
According to QCH, this full moon will appear unusually large and bright—about 14% larger and 30% brighter than a typical full moon—due to its closest approach to Earth.
Astronomer Dr. Bashir Marzouq stated that residents can view the supermoon with the naked eye from 4:01 PM on Thursday until 6:05 AM on Friday, Doha time. He also noted that Qatar experienced a supermoon last November.
A supermoon occurs when two conditions align: the moon is in its full phase and it reaches its closest point to Earth in its orbit at the same time.
