Lots of events lined up in December for residents to enjoy the winter season

The December issue of Qatar Tourism's monthly calendar, Qatar Calendar, reveals a plethora of fascinating activities, including sports championships, art exhibitions, outdoor bazaars, and the return of the perennially famous Hot Air Balloon Festival.

 

Sports:

Sports enthusiasts can look out for some of the ones below:

December 1–9 - The Al Gannas Society Championship 

December 1–12 - The Deaf International Cricket Council T20 World Cup Qatar 2023 

December 1–7 - The GCC Billiards and Snooker Championship 

December 5–9 - GKA 2023 Freestyle Kite World Cup Finals in Qatar 2023 

will feature a showcase of stunts, loops, and freestyle kiting. 

December 6–9 - The Beach Pro Tour 

December 7–9 - The World Arabian Horse Championships 

December 13–16 - The King of the Court volleyball championship

December 20–27 - the Qatar International Cup Grand Prix – Weightlifting 

December 29–January 3 - The Qatar Men’s International Tournament – Handball 

 

Arts and Culture:

The most recent version of Qatar Calendar features art galleries throughout the nation that are holding a range of exhibits and cultural activities this month. Cinema lovers may experience the Arab World's Cinema Exhibition: Intaj, which is open until January 20, and take advantage of Baraha Movie Nights, which take place in Msheireb Downtown Doha from December 18 to January 5.  

The Dan Flavin | Donald Judd: Doha Exhibition is still on display at the Qatar Museums Gallery in Al-Riwaq. 

November 27–December 13 - the Doha Winter Trade Fair 

November 16–December 2 - a Winter Exhibition 

November 27–December 8 - the Teeb Al Hazm Exhibition  

December 1–30 - The Adventure Sports Exhibit

December 6–10 - The Qatar Classic Car Contest & Exhibition 

December 11–16 - The 2nd edition of the Razza Exhibition

November 11–April 27 - Torba Market

The newly reopened Lusail Winter Wonderland

December 10 to 18 - Darb Al Saai, which celebrates Qatar's history and traditions, is scheduled to take place from 

December 7 to 18 - The Qatar Balloon Festival offers tourists to experience a ride with breathtaking morning views above the city.

On December 18, residents may also anticipate a celebration of Qatar National Day at Al Hazm Mall.
