
Visit Qatar has announced that Lusail City will host the 2025 Qatar T100 World Championship Final, which is set for December 10–13, 2025, in collaboration with the Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO), World Triathlon, and Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation.
With a 2 km swim in the Arabian Gulf, an 80 km bike through the city's famous streets, and an 18 km run across Lusail Plaza and Boulevard, Lusail will serve as the backdrop for the championships. The event will highlight Lusail City's shoreline, famous monuments, and top-notch athletic facilities, such as Lusail Stadium, which will host the FIFA World Cup Final in 2022.
The world's best male and female triathletes will fight for the coveted World Championship title at the Qatar T100 weekend, which will wrap up the T100 Triathlon World Tour season.
The Lusail event weekend will feature professional racing alongside amateur competitions for all skill levels. The sprint-distance triathlon, the 100km open-entry race, and the first-ever T100 Age Group World Championships are available to participants. Additionally, a mass 5k/1km fun run is planned for Wednesday, December 10 in an effort to motivate locals and guests to participate in the festival and get moving.
Event highlights:
- On Wednesday, December 10th, there will be a mass 5k/1km fun run for the local community and visiting athletes.
- On Thursday, December 11th, the event and fan village will open with dining, entertainment, and an expo across Lusail Plaza.
- On Friday, December 12th, the season-long 'Race to Qatar' series will conclude with T100 Professional Races, awarding the 2025 World Championship title.
- On Saturday, December 13th, there will be amateur races, including the T100 Age-Group World Championship, open-entry 100km distance, and sprint triathlon.
