Media City Qatar has signed a new multi-year contract with Bloomberg Media, securing the annual ‘Qatar Economic Forum until 2027

The annual "Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg" (QEF), which takes place in Doha, Qatar, has been secured until 2027 thanks to a new multi-year agreement between Media City Qatar (MCQ), a developing, collaborative worldwide home for media and creative talent.

Today, there was a formal signing ceremony held at the forum. Sheikh Ali bin Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the head of Media City Qatar, and M. Scott Havens, the head of Bloomberg Media, inked the agreement.

The Forum, currently in its third edition, highlights Qatar's position in the international business community and provides a forum for discussion and interaction to advance economic possibilities both locally and internationally. The Forum, which is being held for the first time in the "Katara Towers" in the Lusail Marina District with the topic "A New Global Growth Story," offers a roomy setting that makes it easy for participants to roam about during networking events. More than 1,000 participants and more than 50 main-stage speakers make up its diversified schedule.

Since the Forum's first iteration in 2021, its reach has expanded. Last year's event, which attracted over 500 influential decision-makers and thinkers from around the world, featured over 75 keynote speakers, including government ministers from all over the world as well as Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, Patrick Pouyanné, chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies, and Ben van Beurden, CEO of Shell.
