The Ministry of Interior has added new functions to make the Metrash2 app more user-friendly for citizens, residents, and visitors.
The app's 'Residency' area enables residents to update their passport details, whether it's for renewal or when a replacement is given for a lost or damaged passport.
Steps to be followed:
1. Select 'Change Data' after clicking 'Residency'.
2. Press the 'Change Passport' button and continue.
3. Either upload or scan your new passport's front page. Make sure all passport information fits inside the allotted box, the photo is well-lit, and there are no reflections.
4. Pay the fee and click "Done" to finish the process when the passport has been successfully uploaded.
A Q-post representative will then contact the user for delivery of the new Qatar ID to their location.
The Ministry of Interior reminds residents that updating passport information promptly when changes occur helps prevent delays and facilitates faster processing of transactions.
