Minister of Sports and Youth H E Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali praised the Police Officers of Tomorrow programme organised by the Police Academy

H E Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali, Minister of Sports and Youth, praised the Police Officers of Tomorrow programme, which was organised by the Police Academy and those in charge of it, calling it a pioneering programme and an initiative that integrates with various youth initiatives and strategies and is in line with the goals, objectives, and directions of Qatar National Vision 2030.

His Excellency stressed the importance of this programme in refining a child's personality, enhancing his physical and mental capabilities, developing his leadership skills, building a culture of citizenship, belonging, and patriotism, and establishing moral values in line with the Islamic religion and Qatari culture, in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the sidelines of the graduation ceremony of the third group of the programme yesterday. He added that such initiatives are integrated with the various youth policies and strategies, such as the Qatar National Youth Policy, which was recently launched by the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and is based on the ministry's vision of creating active and responsible youth with a sense of patriotism, as well as a community that practises sports and participates in sustainable development.

The Minister of Sports and Youth emphasised that caring for young people is the starting point and the foundation for efforts to develop the capabilities of our youth as an influential force in achieving the requirements of the present and the goals of the aspired future, praising all efforts made by various youth-related bodies to achieve goals and aspirations in the fields of construction and development.

In the presence of HE Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali, as well as a number of Academy leaders and officers, the Police Academy yesterday celebrated the graduation of the third group of the 4th edition (Summer 2023) of the course of "Police Officers of Tomorrow" cadets.

The third set of graduates includes 400 cadets who participated in a range of skilled trainings over the course of two weeks, as well as cultural, religious, and awareness events as part of the curriculum. The graduation ceremony was punctuated by a wide range of skillful shows presented by programme graduates that demonstrated the level of advanced training, such as self-defense skills, police handling of some security situations, capturing and controlling fugitives, marksmanship and rifle skills, as well as military, sports, and cultural shows.

The academy graduated the first and second groups of the programme of “Police Officers of Tomorrow” 2023 on July 12 and 13.
