Ministry of Municipality announced the establishment of 15 temporary sites to be waste collection points in wild areas

In an effort to curb the haphazard dumping of rubbish and streamline the process of its prompt transportation and deportation, the Ministry of Municipality has announced the creation of 15 temporary locations to serve as waste collecting centres in wilderness regions. The Ministry called on the owners of manors and houses to promise to empty waste inside the fence at the designated collection points, to place recyclable waste (paper, glass, aluminium, and plastic) in the appropriate location inside the fence, to avoid mixing it with other waste, and to refrain from throwing away old furniture and construction waste during a press conference on October 11, 2023.

It emphasised that trucks that transport garbage from collection sites must be large enough, well-maintained, closed, and fitted with a tight-fitting cover to keep waste from flying around while being transported. Before departing the location, the transportation procedure form needs to be completed at the security gate at the collecting sites.

Al Rayyan Municipality's director general and team leader overseeing the removal of rubbish and haphazard deposits from wilderness regions The creation of garbage collecting locations, according to Jaber Hassan Al Jaber Jaber, is a part of the Ministry of Municipalities' attempts to address the issue of haphazard rubbish dumping in natural regions.
