MOEHE initiated registration process for new students as well as those wishing to transfer to other academic stage

The registration process for new students and those desiring to transfer to another academic stage was started today by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), and it will last until the following academic year, 2024–2025. According to the Ministry, early computerized registration for pupils will begin on April 21 and run until June 20, 2024. Priority will be given to GCC citizens, Qataris, and children of Qatari women who will be attending the same school as their brothers. Registration for GCC nationals, Qatari students, and children of Qatari women opens on April 28 and closes on June 20, 2024.

Early registration via the ministry's "Maaref" portal is available to people of all nationalities from May 26 to June 20, 2024.

Parents were asked by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to hasten their sons' registration, complete all necessary paperwork, including the health file and other required documents, and make sure the school their boys have selected is located in their local area.

According to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Maryam Ali Al Nesef Al Boainain, Director of School and Student Affairs Department at MOEHE, the anticipated number of new students to be enrolled this year is roughly 16,584 boys and girls. She added that, for the academic year 2023–2024, there would be 137,070 boys and girls enrolled in public schools, ranging from kindergarten to the 12th grade.
