The Ministry of Transport (MoT) has called on the public to participate in the Public Transport Usage Survey. As stated in an X post by MoT, this is intended to improve public transport services. The survey questions can be answered at https://ee.kobotoolbox.org/x/7Xv2iw2M.
This survey is conducted in the context of initiatives to create the Qatar Public Transport Master Plan (QPTMP), which seeks to offer solutions that address the transport requirements of society. The survey collects information on individuals’ mobility preferences and their views regarding public transport modes.
The objective of the QPTMP is to enhance accessibility and coverage, increase service reliability, and investigate innovative mobility solutions that align with the latest developments.
Without relying on conventional frameworks, the QPTMP will serve as a strategic guide for the development of the transit system in order to tackle challenges linked to rising vehicular dependency, congestion, and environmental impact.
The QPTMP will examine the current state of traffic congestion for both private and public transport, as well as carbon emissions, and assess their effects on Qatar's climate quality in order to propose appropriate solutions.
