The first digital yacht entry platform in Qatar, "Minakom," was formally inaugurated by Old Doha Port, signaling a significant turning point in the nation's maritime and tourism infrastructure. The platform was created in collaboration with important government agencies, such as the General Authority of Customs, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Interior. It simplifies online entry processes for visiting vessels, allowing them to pass through customs clearance, immigration, and port access without requiring personnel to disembark.
The platform, which was first soft-launched during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, was improved by means of comprehensive user feedback and joint workshops with national authorities. More than 250 vessels have used Minakom to date, demonstrating the nation's dedication to tourism development and digital transformation in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
