Public auction will be held for sale of deregistered cars, motorcycles, machinery and workshop scrap

The Ministry of Interior will sell its deregistered automobiles, motorbikes, machinery, and workshop scrap at a public auction.
The auction will begin on June 22 between 4 to 8 p.m. until every item is sold out. It will take place in the auction yard next to the Workshops and Transport Department on Street No. 1 in the Industrial Area. Prospective purchasers can view the automobiles and equipment before the auction on June 17 and 19, 2025, between 4 and 6 p.m.
These automobiles have no financial or legal responsibilities and have been deregistered from the Traffic Department. Participants must pay a refundable security deposit of QR3,000 to receive an auction card.
For cars costing more than QAR 15,000, the auction terms stipulate a 30% down payment, with a minimum payment of QAR 5,000. Vehicles costing QAR 15,000 or less require full payment (100%); buyers may even choose to pay in full in the event that their bid is successful.
The committee has the right to re-auction the car and the buyer will lose any deposit if full payment is not made within 24 hours of winning.
Other terms and conditions are:
- The buyer's name cannot be changed on the receipt until the entire purchase price and a QAR 200 charge have been paid.
- A personal ID must be given at finalization to complete registration process.
- Individuals who have previously failed to complete payment or who participate in actions that interfere with the auction process may be excluded by the com
- It is strictly forbidden to resell vehicles that have been put up for auction. There is no internal resale for which the committee is accountable.
- The committee has the ability to postpone the auction if a sufficient bid is not received.
- Purchases over QAR 50,000 cannot be made using cash.
- Payment for cars costing more than QAR 50,000 must be done with a bank card or an IBAN bank transfer to the Police Fund account.
- Smoking is not allowed in auction yard.
