Ahead of China's Golden Week holiday, Qatar Airways and China Southern Airlines today announced a significant extension of their codeshare agreement and an increase in frequencies between Doha and Beijing. This expansion strengthens the airlines' shared commitment to providing more connectivity for international travelers from China and builds upon the Memorandum of Understanding that was inked last year.
Qatar Airways will begin sharing code on China Southern's three weekly direct flights between Doha and Beijing Daxing on October 16, 2025. In a similar vein, China Southern plans to extend the use of the "CZ" code on flights operated by Qatar Airways beyond Doha to 15 locations in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, including Madrid, Munich, Amman, Athens, Barcelona, Cairo, and Dar es Salaam.
