Qatar Airways has completed the Starlink installation programme on 54 Boeing 777 aircraft. With this accomplishment, Qatar Airways now operates the most widebody aircraft with Starlink technology. Additionally, it strengthens the airline's position as the sole carrier in the Middle East and North Africa to provide Starlink-equipped long-haul and ultra-long-haul connectivity, as well as the industry leader in this area.
The installation was finished in nine months, about 50% sooner than anticipated, despite the initial two-year schedule. The airline finished the rollout program without causing any operational disruptions by reducing the retrofit time from three days to just 9.5 hours per aircraft.
Free gate-to-gate Wi-Fi speeds of up to 500 Mbps per aircraft are available to passengers in both the Premium and Economy cabins. They can anticipate a fast and dependable connection that is on par with or even better than what they get at home whether they are working, streaming, or playing games.
