In comparison to the previous year, the Qatar Airways Group announced a record net profit of QR7.85 billion ($2.15 billion) for the fiscal year 2024–2025, up QR1.7 billion ($0.5 billion).
In its most recent annual report, which showcases the best financial results in the group's history, the airline acknowledged the milestone. The outstanding outcomes extend to all of the main businesses, including Qatar Duty Free, Qatar Airways Cargo, and Qatar Aircraft Catering Company.
A record-breaking 28% profit rise in the 24/25 fiscal year and the development of Hamad International Airport, which allowed it to handle 65 million people annually, are two of Qatar Airways Group's major accomplishments from the most recent fiscal year.
Together with a 25% minority stake in Virgin Australia and a 25% acquisition of South Africa's top regional airline, Airlink, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer said the airline is the first in the world and the first in the MENA region to install Starlink super-fast WiFi on its Boeing 777 fleet. The integration of AI into Sama, the company's first artificial cabin staff, is another accomplishment.
Al Meer also emphasized the signing of several technical Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) that will help the company diversify and future-proof its operations in the aviation industry while also advancing the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
