Qatar Airways and digital bank Klarna have partnered to increase the number of flexible payment alternatives available to passengers booking flights throughout Europe. Passengers can now opt to pay in whole, spread out costs over a longer period of time with monthly payments, split payments into three interest-free installments, or pay later within 30 days.
The WorldPay-powered Klarna checkout will initially be accessible in 17 European markets, such as the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy; however, travelers making reservations from the GCC will not be able to use it. Although the focus of Klarna's expansion is Europe, Tabby currently offers comparable payment options to travelers in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
The UAE-based payment app allows users to book hotels through online travel agency platforms like Almosafer and flights with regional airlines like Flydubai and Air Arabia. It also offers four interest-free installments for airfares with over 600 airlines.
Travelers from Europe should find it simpler to book flights to the region and connect through Doha thanks to the Qatar Airways-Klarna agreement, which will help Qatar's tourist industry flourish.
