Qatar Airways plans to resume daily flights to Canberra, Australia's capital in order to improve connection and boost competition for the benefit of Canberra residents and Australian consumers.
In addition to providing passengers with a first-rate stopover experience with smooth connections to over 170 destinations throughout the Qatar Airways global network, the daily flights to Canberra will run via Melbourne to the airline's hub, Hamad International Airport in Doha, which has been repeatedly named the World's Best Airport. The flights are on sale now.
The announcement follows the start of sales of Virgin Australia's new services, which will be operated on Qatar Airways aircraft, from Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Melbourne (Melbourne flights will go on sale in January 2025 and start in December 2025) to more than 100 destinations throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
