The Local Organising Committee (LOC), in coordination with UEFA and CONMEBOL, has cancelled the Qatar Football Festival 2026 due to ongoing airspace closures and regional travel disruptions.
As a result, the Finalissima Qatar 2026™ match between Lionel Messi’s Argentina and Lamine Yamal’s Spain, which was scheduled to be held at Lusail Stadium in Doha, will no longer take place as planned.
Organisers said travel restrictions have made it difficult for many fans, players, and officials to reach Qatar. Ticket holders will receive full refunds within 30 days through their original payment method, while international fans who booked travel packages will be contacted directly by tour operators.
