The Ministry of Labour has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting workers from heat stress during the summer season through a combination of strict enforcement measures, regular inspections and expanded awareness campaigns, including the launch of a new "Campaign Ambassadors" initiative aimed at reaching workers directly at their workplaces.
Hamad Al Buraidi Al Marri said the Ministry of Labour is continuing its Heat Stress Prevention Campaign to protect workers and ensure compliance with occupational safety regulations. He noted that inspectors regularly monitor worksites for adherence to summer working hour restrictions, and violations may lead to the temporary closure of the site. The measures aim to protect workers from heat-related illnesses and other risks associated with extreme temperatures.
