Winter in Qatar kicks off in December, a period influenced by frontal systems moving from Europe, the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) reported in its monthly climate update.
The average temperature for the month is expected to be 19.8°C, with historical records showing a minimum of 6.4°C in 1963 and a maximum of 32.7°C in 2010.
The QMD highlighted that weather tends to be unstable before the passage of air fronts, often followed by fresh to strong northwesterly winds.
