Qatar moved on to the semi-finals of the Asian Handball Qualifier for 2024 Paris Olympic Games

With a commanding 33-24 victory against Saudi Arabia at Al Duhail Indoor Hall yesterday, Qatar advanced to the Asian Handball Qualifier for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Qatar continued their unbeaten run in the competition and increased their point total to 10 at the top of Group A, with the win. Tomorrow's semi-final between Qatar and Bahrain will take place after Bahrain's 28-24 victory against Iran yesterday secured the second slot in Group B. Yesterday's other Group A matches saw South Korea defeat China 28-23 and the United Arab Emirates defeat India 40-22. Kuwait defeated Kazakhstan 39–31 in Group B. Tomorrow's second semifinal matchup features South Korea against Japan, the team leading Group B.

The team that finishes in second place will compete in the 2024 IHF Men's Olympic Qualification Tournaments, while the tournament winner will get to go to the Summer Olympics in 2024.
