Qatar News Agency won the FANA Award for the best report for 2022

Qatar News Agency (QNA) won the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) Award for the best report for 2022, for its report entitled ‘Private Museums Enhance Cultural Vision, Community Awareness in Qatar’.

In a message received by Director-General of QNA H E Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi, the FANA General Secretariat, represented by Secretary-General Dr. Farid Ayar, expressed its sincere congratulations on this win, wishing QNA all success and continued progress.

The winning report came in the first place after gaining 13 points from the Award Judging Panel.

The General Secretariat will deliver QNA the victory shield, during its 50th General Assembly conference in November, the message read.

QNA congratulated all its employees on this victory, especially in the news department, wishing to redouble efforts and intensify work so that QNA will always serve the state of Qatar and support the causes of its Arab and Islamic nation.

Comprising 18 Arab national news agencies, FANA aims to strengthen the professional links between these agencies and to secure the widest areas for distributing news within the Arab countries, and delivering Arab news abroad.

To achieve this, the Federation seeks to raise the level of member agencies by providing advice, encouraging the exchange and holding periodic meetings of news agencies in addition to specialised meetings, and works to develop media and technical cooperation between its member agencies and national news agencies around the world.
