Qatar Tourism launches comprehensive Tour Guide Training Programmes to develop local talent

Qatar Tourism, through its Service Excellence Academy and in partnership with Qatar Youth Hostels, has launched a series of Tour Guide Training Programmes aimed at developing local tourism talent and enhancing visitor experiences.

The initiative offers training opportunities for different age groups, from children and teenagers to aspiring and professional tour guides. The General Licensing Module will run from July 5 to August 2, 2026, for participants aged 18 and above, with successful graduates receiving official tour guide licences.

The Youth Tour Guide Programme for ages 13–17 begins on July 18, while the Young Tour Guide Summer Camp for children aged 8–12 will run from July 19 to August 27 at KidzMondo.

The programmes include workshops, practical training, and field visits in collaboration with Qatar Museums, supporting Qatar’s efforts to develop a skilled tourism workforce and inspire future generations.
