The bid to host the 2029 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship has been won by the State of Qatar, according to the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). The FIVB Board of Administration meeting, which took place today in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, made the decision.
After being carefully reviewed and assessed by the FIVB, Qatar's proposal to host the 2029 Men's World Championship was formally filed and met with high appreciation. The tournament will take place in the Middle East for the first time in its 70-year history after the FIVB formally confirmed Qatar's choice to host the event.
Qatar's world-class sports facilities, modern infrastructure, sophisticated transportation systems, and steadfast dedication to the growth of volleyball in particular and sport in general are all reflected in the selection.
It also emphasizes Qatar's longstanding experience, human resources, and organizational and cultural heritage in staging important international athletic events in a variety of sports.
