QNB has become the first bank in Qatar to introduce Mastercard Virtual Card Numbers (VCN) for corporate clients, allowing businesses to generate single-use or multi-use virtual cards with set spending limits, defined validity periods, and merchant category controls. The move reflects QNB’s commitment to delivering an advanced and seamless banking experience.
A signing ceremony between senior leaders from QNB and Mastercard marked the launch and solidified the partnership. The agreement aims to enhance payment solutions for QNB’s corporate customers through improved digital capabilities, supporting the modernisation of corporate payments and advancing Qatar’s shift toward a cashless, digitally driven economy in line with the Economic Development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030.
QNB’s platform lets companies easily create virtual cards by integrating Mastercard’s VCN system with corporate approval workflows, offering real-time control and visibility. By digitising payments once made by cheques or transfers, Mastercard improves security, reconciliation, and working capital through flexible settlements. Businesses gain up to 55 days interest-free, automated payments, and enhanced liquidity. QNB’s SmartData tools further streamline reporting, analytics, and card management.
