The 2025–2026 horse racing season, which will take place across 70 events at the Al Rayyan and Al Uqda racecourses, has been announced by the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club (QREC).
After a thorough assessment, the QREC—chaired by Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al Attiyah—finalized the schedule by taking into account input from trainers and owners as well as internal technical reports.
The Al Rayyan Racecourse will host HH The Amir Sword Festival for the first time this season, extending it to four days in a row. Turf racing is planned for the last two days, while the first two days will be held on dirt. There will be 32 races spread across four days for the first time.
