Simaisma Beach will be closed for five years for Qatari Diar's grandiose "Simaisma" tourism project. This historic project, which is roughly 40 kilometers north of Doha, intends to revolutionize leisure and tourism in Qatar by providing both locals and tourists with a distinctive, year-round experience.
With an area of around 8 million square meters and a 7-kilometer stretch of picturesque coastline, the project will combine modern technology, such an inventive outdoor cooling system, with Qatar's natural coastal beauty to provide comfort in all seasons.
16 separate tourism zones, comprising a range of resorts spread across four major areas, will be part of the Simaisma development. Each zone will have its own unique architectural identity. This endeavor has the potential to become one of Qatar's most recognizable travel destinations in the future.
