
As Qatar gets ready to host the FIFA U-17 World Cup for the first time, three Qatari officials have been chosen to serve as referees.
Among a global roster of match officials, Qatar will be represented by referee Mohammed Ahmed Al Shammari and deputy referees Khalid Khalaf and Faisal Eid Al Shammari.
With 48 teams, the competition will be the largest in the history of the U-17 World Cup. It will take place from November 3 to November 27.
The FIFA Referees Committee has chosen 81 officials, 27 referees, and 54 assistant referees from 35 FIFA Member Associations.
