HIA celebrates its 10 anniversary along with iconic 23-foot-tall teddy bear sculpture

Hamad International Airport (HIA) is celebrating a momentous milestone: its 10-year anniversary.  The "World's Best Airport" has acquired this title for its great services, opulent amenities, and cutting-edge infrastructure. One of its most recognizable features is Swiss artist Urs Fischer's 23-foot-tall teddy bear sculpture. This gigantic bronze statue weighs 20 tons and has become one of the airport's most photographed attractions. The yellow bear has become a popular feature, proudly standing in the great lobby and attracting the attention of many visitors.
