Hamad International Airport (HIA) reached key milestones in 2024, serving 52.7 million passengers, a 15% increase from the previous year. The airport's status as a vital global hub for airlines and passengers grows.

Aircraft movements increased by 10% year on year to 279,000, with a total of 2.6 million tonnes of cargo handled, up 12% from the previous year. Furthermore, the airport handled 41.3 million bags, which represents a 10% increase in baggage handling efficiency.

In 2024, Hamad International Airport will welcome more over 4 million passengers per month, demonstrating its ability to handle large volumes efficiently. Local passenger traffic increased by 16%, outpacing transfer traffic for the first time, thanks to Doha's growing popularity as a tourist destination and combined efforts with Qatar Tourism to recruit charter services. Notably, the airport served more than 12 million point-to-point travelers.
