05 Dec 2024
NewsQatar Airways Cargo has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japan Airlines to strengthen their partnership and improve their air cargo services, facilitating the movement of goods between the two airlines.
This agreement follows Japan Airlines' earlier announcement of daily passenger flights between Tokyo Haneda Airport and Hamad International Airport in Doha.
By signing this MoU, Qatar Airways Cargo and Japan Airlines' Cargo division (JALCARGO) have further expanded their long-standing partnership as "oneworld" alliance members, aiming to enhance their product offerings and achieve operational synergies for cargo customers.
The MoU was signed by Mark Drusch, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Cargo, and Yuichiro Kito, Executive Officer, Senior Vice President, and Head of Cargo and Mail at Japan Airlines, with Qatar Airways' Group Chief Executive Officer, Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, present.
This will improve network connectivity and product offerings for customers, connecting Japan to Qatar Airways' vast network in Europe, the Middle East, the Levant, and Africa, and vice versa. Customers will enjoy better connectivity and access to more destinations. The two airlines will deepen their collaboration by expanding their shared network of destinations, aligning with their plans to increase cooperation across multiple areas.
