Her Excellency, Shikha Hind bint Hamad Al-Thani, graced the concluding moments of the inaugural Women's Open Volleyball Championship

The highly admired HE Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, Her Excellency Shikha Hind bint Hamad Al-Thani, graced the closing moments of the first-ever Women's Open Volleyball Championship for the 2023–2024 sports season on Saturday. With 10 committed teams participating in the championship, which was organised under the auspices of the Qatar Volleyball Association, it was a noteworthy achievement in promoting athletic excellence. Under the guidance of teachers, more than one hundred volunteers from Qatar Academy Doha participated in the event. Similar training to that obtained by World Cup volunteers was given to volunteers by the Asian Football Confederation.

Her Excellency had the great honour of handing the gold medals and championship cup to the victorious "F45" team in a setting that was teeming with sportsmanship and energy. Sheikha Hind Al-Thani awarded the sparkling silver medals to Waaed Academy, the second-place team, in recognition of their unwavering dedication and incredible skill throughout the competition. Al Arabi, the bronze medalists, took third place on the podium.

She further inspired a generation of Qataris to be dedicated to promoting athletic performance and gender equality in sports with her courteous presence and unwavering commitment to elevating women's sports and highlighting the significance of the championship.
