As part of the 11th Katara Festival for Arabic Novel, the Cultural Village Foundation-Katara will host the third Katara Book Fair from October 13 to 19.
Eight nations—Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Tunisia, and Syria—will be represented by 90 publishing firms from Qatar and the Arab world at this year's edition. With a focus on literary works, such as novels, short tales, poetry collections, and books of literary criticism, the fair seeks to present the most recent publications from Arab and Qatari publishers in a range of subjects.
The formal release of the winning works from the 10th Katara Prize for Arabic Novel, which will span six award categories and be given in both Arabic and English, will be a significant highlight of the fair.
