The Ministry of Labour (MoL) has launched an awareness campaign to protect workers from heat stress ahead of the annual enforcement of summer outdoor work regulations.
Effective from June 1 to September 15, the rules ban work in open outdoor areas and non-ventilated shaded spaces from 10:00am to 3:30pm, helping protect workers from extreme heat exposure.
The campaign involves several partners, including the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Public Works Authority, Qatar Charity, Qatar Red Crescent, and private sector companies.
The MoL said employers operating outdoor worksites must set and clearly display daily work schedules in line with the summer work-hour regulations, ensuring transparency and compliance with the law.
