Qatar Airways launches Bogotá and Caracas flights

Qatar Airways has expanded its Americas network with new flights to Bogotá, Colombia, and Caracas, Venezuela, effective July 22, 2026.


Key highlights:

First Gulf carrier to operate flights to Venezuela.

First airline to connect the Middle East with Bogotá and Caracas on the same route.

Twice-weekly flights operating every Wednesday and Sunday.

Route: Doha → Bogotá → Caracas → Doha.


The new flight schedule has been planned to offer smooth onward connections through Hamad International Airport, allowing travellers from Colombia and Venezuela to connect to destinations such as Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea and the UAE.


Expanding Qatar Airways' Americas network

The Caracas launch makes Qatar Airways the first Gulf carrier to operate flights to Venezuela.

The addition of Bogotá and Caracas expands the airline's Latin American network, which began in 2010 with services to São Paulo, Brazil.

Qatar Airways now serves 16 destinations across the Americas.

Strengthening global connectivity


The new routes are part of Qatar Airways' ongoing expansion to more than 160 global destinations during the summer season. They are expected to improve travel links between South America, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, benefiting business travellers, tourists and those visiting friends and family.
