The Qatar Foundation (QF), which established the Qatar Career Development Centre (QCDC), has announced the beginning of registration for the fifth iteration of the "My Career-My Future" initiative for 2023.
The programme, run in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, aims to give high school students in Qatar (in the tenth, eleventh, and twelveth grades) the chance to experience real work environments in a variety of fields, including medicine, aviation, media, filmmaking, banking, social work, and education, in order to help them find their future careers and develop the necessary skills.
The programme will run for five days from June 11 to 15, from 8am to 2pm, with activities starting at Multaqa (Education City Student Center).
Students who are interested in the programme can apply online at bit.ly/3Bhudme or by visiting the QCDC website at qcdc.org.qa, where they can select the universities they want to attend. Participants will get a confirmation email after registering, and they will then be sent to the appropriate payment website to make a QR350 payment.
The amount of hours worked in the partner institutions is shown on participation certificates given to students who successfully complete the curriculum. During the closing ceremony, representatives from these institutions will display their academic programmes in Qatar, application procedures, and admission criteria, giving attendees the chance to learn more about Qatar's different universities.
