Qatar welcomed 2.338 million visitors through its land, air and sea entry points during the first eight months of 2026, according to data released by Qatar Tourism.
Visitor arrivals in August reached 303,000, marking a 6.3% increase from the 285,000 recorded in July.
GCC nationals and residents accounted for the largest share of visitors from January to August, with 958,000 arrivals, or 41% of the total. Asia and Oceania followed with 489,000 visitors (20.9%), while Europe recorded 486,000 (20.8%). Visitors from the Americas accounted for 169,000, or 7.2% of total arrivals.
