Qatar’s Minister of Public Health HE Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud has approved the use of a valid QID instead of a health card for residents accessing services at Hamad Medical Corporation, Primary Health Care Corporation and other facilities.
Fees for issuing and renewing health cards will still apply, while residents’ health numbers will be verified electronically using their QID.
Circular No. (10) of 2026 also ends the printing of physical health cards for residents. The move supports efforts to streamline procedures and improve patient experience.
