Second edition of Katara Falconry and Hunting Championship to begin on November 26

The second Katara Falconry and Hunting Championship will begin on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Marmi Sabkha in Sealine. Director of Championships Mutaib Al-Qahtani confirmed the event schedule following registration, draws, and grouping. 

The opening day features qualifying rounds for groups 1–7, along with “Gyrfalcon chick” and “Gyrfalcon-Peregrine hybrid” categories. Qualifiers for groups 8–14 follow on Thursday, and groups 15–20 on Friday, alongside the hybrid finals. Saturday includes qualifiers for groups 21–26, the Free-Flying category, the Promising Falconer competition, and the Saluki race. 

Additional rounds and finals continue through December 3. The championship concludes on December 6 with finals across multiple peregrine and gyrfalcon categories. The top five falcons from each key category—20 in total—will advance to the elite round, along with finalists in the Saluki race.
