An array of curated experiences by Visit Qatar awaits transit travelers this summer

In an effort to attract tourists, especially those who are in transit, Visit Qatar and its partners are launching a variety of carefully planned activities throughout the summer. The objective, according to Visit Qatar, is to turn short layovers into memorable vacation extensions.

Visit Qatar encourages travelers to split a single trip into two separate vacation experiences with stopover packages.

Travelers with transit times in Doha ranging from 12 to 96 hours are served by these carefully chosen stopover packages, which are overseen by Discover Qatar. Together with professionally led tours and unforgettable experiences, they offer choices for stays of up to four nights in either four- or five-star hotels.

To guarantee their customized itinerary, prospective tourists are encouraged to reserve these exceptional chances at least three days before their trip date. The yearly assembly of whale sharks off the northwest coast of Qatar is one of the most sought-after natural phenomena available, according to Visit Qatar.

The four-hour daily "Discover Doha" city trip takes guests through famous sites including Souq Waqif, where a maze of passageways offers the chance to explore traditional goods, falcons or even the Amiri Diwan's camels.

The tour also visits the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) along the Corniche and the classic wooden dhows docked at Dhow Harbour. Visitors can tour Katara Cultural Village, which includes theaters, mosques, and the Katara Amphitheatre.

The journey concludes with a visit to The Pearl, an opulent artificial island including upscale retail establishments, great dining, and a picturesque harbor full of superyachts.

Visit Qatar provides a 48-hour itinerary for passengers with a longer layover. Visitors can explore Katara's art galleries, workshops, and performance spaces, and extensive collections at MIA and the National Museum of Qatar, the first day showcases Qatari culture and leisure.

On the second day, tourists can explore the 20th-century Al Zubarah Fort, a Unesco World Heritage site, or head to Khor Al Adaid, the Inland Sea, and watch flamingos, turtles, and Arabian oryx. Kayaking is the greatest way to experience the unique environment of the Al Thakira Mangroves, one of Qatar's largest and oldest forests.

Beautiful views can be enjoyed from a walk along the 7km Doha Corniche. Indulge in water sport of kite surfing or take a 4x4 safari to Khor Al Adaid after riding camels across soft sand dunes for a genuine desert experience.
