According to Eng. Faisal Al-Ansari, executive director of the Qatar Calendar House, the hottest part of summer, known as Jamrat Al-Qayz, will begin on Wednesday, July 16.
As per Al-Ansari, the season will likely span 39 days and include three internal seasons: Al Jawza Al Thanya, Al Murzam, and Al Kileibein. He reaffirmed that this time of year is renowned for having the warmest temperatures.
It is anticipated that the seasonal hot, strong, dry wind, referred to locally as "Simoom," will replace the strong northwesterly winds known as "Al Bawarih winds," which normally begin in May and last through July.
During this time, it is also anticipated that humidity levels around the Arabian Gulf will increase.
