The Gulf state, which hosted the 2022 FIFA World Cup with success, is suggesting using its nine stadiums, six of which are frequently utilized for Qatar Stars League games, in order to reduce travel and staging expenses. Because of their existing infrastructure, Qatar is an economical and ecologically conscious host.
A competitive selection is anticipated for the 2029 edition, considering the increasing interest from several countries, but FIFA awarded the 2025 Club World Cup to the USA without a formal bidding procedure. FIFA chose not to comment on the current talks or the choice of the host.
