75th edition of the Formula 1 World Championship for cars - 2024 season; Lusail International Circuit in Qatar has entered the calendar

The International Automobile Federation (FIA) announced today that the Lusail International Circuit in Qatar has been added to the calendar of the 75th edition of the Formula 1 World Championship for cars for the 2024 season, consisting of 24 rounds, to give fans a glimpse of the location and time for their favourite races.

The Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix will be the season's twenty-third and penultimate race, taking place for the second season in a row from November 29 to December 1, 2024. The organisers announced that the calendar for the next season will see many changes, beginning with two races in the Arab region at the "Sakhir" circuit in Bahrain and the Jeddah Corniche in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and ending with two races in the Arab region, where the race will be. The penultimate race at the "Yas Marina" track in Abu Dhabi will take place before the final race at the Lusail International track in Qatar.

In a statement issued today, Formula said that the next season will begin with two races on the second and ninth Saturdays of March, in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, rather than the traditional Sunday, in order to accommodate the holy month of Ramadan, which begins on the tenth, and that as a result, three races will be held on Saturday in the 2024 season, as the two Arab races will join the American "Las Vegas" award, which this year will host a night race on Sat.

The Chinese Grand Prix was cancelled in April due to restrictions related to Covid-19, while the Italian Emilia-Romagna race at the Imola circuit was cancelled due to floods that hit the region, but the two races will be present on the calendar for the new season 2024, which begins in early March and ends in early December.
