Elite Exhibition inaugurated at Katara premises and running until April 16 showcases over 37 art works

In the presence of numerous talented artists and visual arts enthusiasts, the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) General Manager Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti opened the Elite Exhibition on Tuesday at building 13. The festival, which is being hosted by the Qatar Fine Arts Association, will take place from April 16 to April 16 and feature over 37 artworks created by Qatari citizens and pioneers from the middle and younger generations, as well as those who have studied at various art schools.

Yousef Khalifa Al Sada, the president of the Union of Gulf Societies and the president of the Qatar Fine Arts Society, as well as a number of other fine artists and visual arts enthusiasts attended the event.

Prof. Dr. Al Sulaiti also attended the opening of the Katara Ramadan Damma and Carrom Championship, which is scheduled for March 26–28 and is hosted by Katara in Building 18 in Katara in collaboration with the Damma Council. According to him, the game of damma gained popularity in the Levant, North Africa, and Turkiye during the fishing and pearl diving eras in Qatar and the Arab Gulf region.

It goes by a number of names and is a competitive game that two players meet to play at a table. It emphasizes that the game requires intelligence and mental stimulation. Played by parents and grandparents after returning from diving expeditions, it's a concentration game.
