Entry for Non-ticketed fans to Qatar permitted from December 2

People who have not purchased a ticket for the tournament will be allowed to enter Qatar after the group stage of the tournament, which is from December 2, 2022. This was announced in a joint press conference held on November 3, 2022, to announce the readiness of Qatar for the FIFA World Cup.

Colonel Jabr Hammoud Jabr Al Nuaimi, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Interior and the World Cup Security Force, said: "We’re delighted to announce today that non-ticketed fans can enter the State of Qatar after the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group Stage - starting from 2 December 2022 - to enjoy the unique tournament atmosphere here with teams and fans in the country.” "Non-ticketed fans can apply for their Hayya Cards to enter the State of Qatar through the Hayya platform or Hayya mobile app from today."

He added: "The security readiness has been completed, and strategic plans have been developed, which include backup start plans and plan to deal with risks and crises. All parties will work to ensure the safety and security of the fans. We welcome everyone and we all cooperate to make the tournament a success so that it will be the safest version. It is to be noted that the callers to the Hayya Hotline (800 2022) can also be transferred to the 16000 helplines if their query is healthcare related. 

Meanwhile, the Deputy Director General of the Operations of the World Cup announced that a metro train will run every 165 seconds to transport fans over a period of 21 days, and besides this, 3,600 buses will be in operation for daily transportation during the tournament.
